Armindo Araújo:

- Comecei a correr em 1995 no Campeonato Nacional de Enduro, porque era um sonho de criança. Corro até 1999 de uma forma mais ou menos amadora! Em 2000 passo para os automoveis porque fui ver um rali perto de caso e achei que seria uma boa experiência. Esta experiência só é possível com a ajuda de vários amigos que davam pequenos patrocínios.

- I started racing 1995 on the Endurance  National Championchip, because it was a dream when i was a child. I raced up to 1999 in an amateur kind of way. In 2000 i changed to cars because i watched a rally near my house, and i thought it would be a good experience. This experience was only possible with the help of several friends who gave small sponsorships.

- Am inceput cursele in 1995 in Campionatul National de Anduranta, pentru ca era visul meu inca de cand eram copil sa particip la curse. Pana in 1999 am participat oarecum ca amator, din placere. In 2000 am trecut de la motociclete la masini, pentru ca am vazut un raliu aproape de locul unde locuiam si m-am gandit ca ar fi o experienta buna pentru mine. Evident, asta a fost posibil doar cu ajutorul mai multor prieteni, care au putut sa-mi ofere mici sponsorizari

- Rapidamente chegas-te ao top, sendo um dos melhores pilotos nacionais. Como é a competição no teu país?

- You quickly became one of the best rally drivers in Portugal. How is the competition in your home country?

Armindo Araújo:

- Os ralis em Portugal são o desporto motorizado mais importante e eu felizmente estive em duas das melhores equipas portuguesas ( Citroen, Mitsubishi )

- Rallys in Portugal are the most important motorized sport, and luckily, i raced with the 2 best portuguese teams (Citroen and Mitsubishi)

- In Portugalia, raliurile sunt cel mai important sport cu motor. Eu am avut norocul de a participa cu cele mai bune doua echipe din tara: Citroen si Mitsubishi.

- Já guias-te vários carros... Qual o que gostas-te mais e porquê?

- You drove many cars... which one did you like the most and why?

- Ai pilotat multe masini... care ti-a placut cel mai mult si de ce?

Armindo Araújo:

- Eu já guiei quase todo o tipo de carros, apenas falta o S2000. Mas o carro mais interessante foi o Focus WRC 2005

- I drove almost all sort of cars, missing only the S2000. But the most interesting car was the Focus WRC 2005

- E adevarat ca am pilotat aproape toate felurile de masini, in afara de cele Super 2000. cea mai interesanta din punctul meu de vedere a fost Fordul Focus WRC 2005.

- Segui de perto a tua evolução durante o Rali da Madeira, o que foi impressionante. Qual a diferença entre ERC e P-WRC?

- I followed your evolution at the Madeira Rally and it was really impressive. What's the difference between ERC and P-WRC?

- Prestatia ta la Rally Madeira, in ERC, a fost impresionanta. Care e diferenta dintre European si Mondialul masinilor de productie?

Armindo Araújo:

- No P-WRC acho que há mais competitividade, mais pilotos e equipas, quanto ás provas são mais exigentes em temos de dureza como em duração.

- I think that in the P-WRC, there is more competitivity, more pilots and more teams, and as to the races, they are more demanding, both in endurance and duration.

- Cred ca in PWRC competitia este mai mare. Sunt mai multi piloti si mai multe echipe. Sunt si mai multe etape, care necesita sa te interbuintezi mai mult, atat ca anduranta cat si ca constanta.

- Qual a diferença entre N4 e os S2000?

- What's the difference between the N4 cars and the S2000?

- Care e diferenta dintre masinile N4 si bolizii Super 2000?

Armindo Araújo:

- N4 são carros que nascem a partir de um carro do dia a dia. Os S2000 são protótipos um pouco parecidos com os WRC's e que só são feitos para corridas.

- N4 are cars that are borned from an "every day" car. The S2000 are prototypes a bit similar to WRC, and that are only made for races.

- E simplu. N4 provin din masinile de strada, folosite in fiecare zi. Super 2000-urile sunt prototipuri apropiate ca idee de WRC-uri. Sunt facute doar pentru curse... cu tot ce deriva din asta.

- Existe alguma diferença nos carros utilizados na P-WRC e ERC, ou melhores pilotos?

- Is there any difference in the cars used in PWRC and those used in ERC or are there just better drivers in world rallyes?

- E vreo diferenta intre masinile folosite in P-WRC si ERC?

Armindo Araújo:

- Os regulamentos do ERC e do P-WRC em termos de regulamento técnico são os mesmos.

- The regulations of ERC and P-WRC, in terms of thecnical regulation are the same.

- Din punctul de vedere al regulamentului, masinile sunt identice.

- O que necessita um piloto para se tornar num piloto de WRC, e qual a dificuldade para lá chegar?

- What does a driver need to become a WRC driver and how difficult is it to get there?

- De ce are nevoie un pilot pentru a ajunge in WRC si cat e de greu sa parcurgi acest drum?

Armindo Araújo:

- Precisa de ser um bom piloto, ter bons patrocínios, muito espírito de sacrifício, e muito trabalho.

- You must be a good pilot, have good sponsorships, a high spirit of sacrifice and a lot of work.

- Trebuie in primul rand sa fii un bun pilot, sa ai sponsori puternici, sa fii capabil sa te sacrifici absolut si sa muncesti foarte mult.

- Quais a s tuas expectativas para o Campeonato de 2008, e o que pretendes para o futuro?

- What do you expect from the 2008 season and what would you like to do in the future?

- Ce asteptari ai de la sezonul 2008 si ce ai vrea sa faci in viitor?

Armindo Araújo:

- O meu objectivo é lutar pela vitoria no P-WRC. para isso tenho de terminar e pontuar em todas as provas.

- My goal is to fight for the victory in P-WRC. To reach that i must finish and punctuate in all races.

- Scopul meu este sa lupt pentru victorie in P-WRC. Pentru a reusi asta, trebuie sa termin in puncte la toate etapele.

- Teria muito gosto em conhecer a realidade dos ralis na Roménia, e seria para mim um prazer puder fazer ai um rali.

- I would be very pleased to get acquainted with the reality of the rallys in Romenia, and it would be a pleasure to drive in a rally there.
